The Sales Engineer plays an integral part in the sales cycle and is responsible for assisting the Sales Organization with presenting both platform and service offerings in order to, establish confidence in ChannelAdvisor’s technology infrastructure and to remove all technical objections in the sales cycle. 

Responsibilities

The Sales Engineer plays an integral part in the sales cycle and is responsible for assisting the Sales Organization with presenting both platform and service offerings in order to, establish confidence in ChannelAdvisor’s technology infrastructure and to remove all technical objections in the sales cycle. To accomplish this, the Sales Engineer must be able to identify and understand business requirements and execute a technical sales strategy, effectively demonstrating the solutions that address these requirements while highlighting business value.

 

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all stages of the sales lifecycle including assisting Account Executives in identifying additional opportunity through proper discovery, providing technical assistance necessary to validate the opp, deliver customized demo including examples of how the prospect can be successful with ChannelAdvisor and support Sales in final details necessary to close the deal
  • Write up sales communication on monthly product releases, focusing on relevant sellable features/upgrades
  • Participate in company-wide projects for strategic efforts like Sales Advisory Council, fulfillment, 1P integrations, strategic planning etc.
  • Participate in all team activities for the sales team they support (weekly meetings, pipeline calls, team QBRs, loss reviews, etc.)
  • Participate in self-paced learning to improve understanding of all ChannelAdvisor products
  • Stay informed regarding changes surrounding the industry

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years pre-sales experience in a high tech environment, with a record of success in driving customer adoption of technology
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with a focus on discovery, positioning, business justification, and closing techniques
  • Experience working in an ecommerce environment supporting high volume, transactional applications
  • Experience in a technical environment, specifically dealing with data transformation/exchange
  • Proficient in adapting to new software tools and environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of marketplaces and webstores such as Amazon, eBay, Magento, Shopify, etc.
  • Digital Marketing knowledge/experience
  • Understanding of online marketing and advertising concepts
  • History of working with large retail clients and/or Manufactured Brands
  • Technical working knowledge of API integrations (REST & SOAP)

Pursuant to Colorado regulations, if this job is performed in Colorado, the salary range is $75,000 - $90,000 plus bonus potential.
