Pricing Analyst

The BI team is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Pricing Analyst with strong financial modeling skills to support our global Account Management and Sales teams with usage based pricing proposals and forecasting future revenue impact related to contract changes.

The ideal candidate will utilize their financial skills, pricing and negotiation skills, and a passion for streamlining the pricing process to identify the best balance of pricing for the customer and the revenue retention for ChannelAdvisor. You will build and develop partnerships with Account Management and Sales on various pricing negotiations and analysis, provide recommended pricing, and demonstrate the impact of the pricing on revenue to ChannelAdvisor.  We look for candidates who are excellent communicators, self-motivated, flexible, and hardworking.


  • Develop a clear understanding of ChannelAdvisor’s products and pricing model
  • Create and maintain a clear, concise calculation tool to demonstrate the future revenue impact of pricing
  • Analyze and report on bookings and revenue trends related to PCA’s(Price Change Amendments)
  • Support ad-hoc pricing analysis for various deals(new and PCA)
  • Develop a modeling process to forecast the revenue impact from PCA
  • Support Account Management and Sales with recommended pricing based on review of current terms and ideal terms to preserve future revenue
  • Monitor the results of pricing decisions by evaluating performance in relation to customer’s future usage
  • Facilitate pricing review sessions and provides pricing guidance for proposals
  • Identify methods to monitor pricing by customer and competitor
  • Challenge and critically analyze pricing strategies when appropriate, and routinely apply financial knowledge to drive business forward


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance or other related field
  • 2+ years experience in pricing desk or pricing analysis, preferably in a subscription based SAAS model 
  • Experience working with sales and account management teams related to usage based pricing of new deals and modifying existing pricing
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience modeling results of pricing based on different collected inputs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working with multi-product and usage based pricing
  • Collaboration across multiple teams to achieve the best outcome for the company
  • Ability to report trends and findings to Senior Leaders
  • Analytical, evaluative, and data-driven mindset
  • Ability to deliver pricing presentations to a variety of audiences
