We are growing our already strong UX Team that delivers best-practice user experience design, research, and insights. As a User Experience and Interface Designer, you’ll be joining a team of skilled UX professionals who act as trusted partners to Product Management and Engineering throughout the entire software development lifecycle. The UX Team takes a human-centric and collaborative approach to design solutions that simultaneously meet user needs and business needs.

 

As a UX/UI Designer at ChannelAdvisor, you will be on the frontline of optimizing the world’s commerce. You will craft every aspect of the UX for our leading global e-commerce platform. Successful candidates appreciate that UX design can transform not just visual design and interaction design, but the entire story of how a product intersects with a customer.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the UX Team, Product Management, Engineering, Services, and Support on a variety of UX and UI projects.
  • Utilize user-centered design practices including user testing, interviews, user feedback, usage analytics, and usability research, in combination with product requirements and internal feedback, to understand and craft strong UX design proposals.
  • Refine design proposals through frequent design collaboration meetings with the UX Team.
  • Create and deliver high-fidelity UX designs and technically feasible JIRA stories with mockups, user flows, detailed acceptance criteria, design specifications, and interactive prototypes when appropriate.
  • Work closely with Engineering to support the Agile development methodology so Engineering can efficiently deliver the envisioned user experiences.
  • In consultation with the UX Manager, manage and execute UX Team-initiated projects from concept to release.
  • Expand, communicate, and uphold UX style guidelines across products.

Experience needed:

  • You have 2-4 years of professional UX design experience.
  • You have demonstrable UX design skills with a strong UX portfolio.
  • You are an energetic learner and eager to further your professional growth as a UX professional.
  • You are proficient with UX software such as Figma, Axure, Balsamiq, Sketch, etc.
  • You are responsible and able to work independently, but also thrive in collaboration with peers, SMEs, and end-users to discover entirely novel solutions.
  • You think big and have a grand vision, but appreciate the importance of Agile development to achieve audacious goals through smaller, iterative steps.
  • You have pride in your work and the initiative to drive work to completion.
  • You have experience working in an Agile process (preferred Scrum or Kanban).
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • A degree or specialized training in HCI, UX, Visual Communications is a plus.
  • Experience with Pendo and usability analytics is a plus.
  • Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
