ChannelAdvisor is seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Marketing Communications Manager to join our EMEA Marketing Team.

The Marketing Communications Manager, EMEA drives the delivery of the EMEA communications strategy to engage diverse audiences including brands, retailers and partners, and to grow brand awareness across the region. Working with stakeholders in EMEA and with global marketing colleagues, the Marketing Communications Manager will plan and develop content to feed into both PR and demand generation activity.  

With a solid understanding and experience of the integral role of communications within a B2B marketing strategy, the Marketing Communications manager will work collaboratively to ensure that communications programmes support the overall marketing goals and objectives for EMEA

The individual is proactive and organised. They will have strong writing skills, with good attention to detail, and an ability to understand audiences and craft content that speaks to their challenges and engages.  The Marketing Manager reports to the Marketing Director, EMEA.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and executing a European PR strategy for ChannelAdvisor. Drafting press releases and media articles, pitching releases, media engagement, media launches and events. Managing external PR agencies and coordinating across regions.
  • Managing the content strategy for EMEA, considering a variety of integrated channels, and working with product marketing, subject matter experts and copywriters to ensure that content is aligned with corporate messaging and tailored to the EMEA audiences
  • Planning and developing communications assets for ChannelAdvisor EMEA including ebooks, white papers, tip sheets, research reports, website content, blogs, webinars and corporate presentations. Managing and coordinating external copywriters.
  • Managing an editorial calendar for content across a range of channels, including press and social
  • Creating social content for social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram. 
  • Measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of our external communications strategy. Tracking and analysing content, PR performance and engagement metrics, sharing the coverage and reach of messaging through press and social channels 
  • Managing relationships with key Analyst groups, building credibility through regular briefings on value proposition and product developments with ChannelAdvisor executives and subject matter experts.  Reviewing and leveraging content and research opportunities to feed into the customer and prospect journey.
  • Updating website with new content and working with Demand Generation Manager to support compelling campaigns to engage audiences across the buying cycle
  • Budget Management - oversee the spend of budget related to content creation, PR and AR activity, effectively tracking and monitoring spend against goals.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years international communications experience in either a client team at an enterprise B2B SaaS company or from an agency with similar client focus
  • Excellent copywriting skills with demonstrated ability to craft engaging copy for a range of different channels and audiences.
  • A curious mind and interest in learning about e-commerce industry drivers and challenges to identify topics that will engage and inform prospective customers and partners
  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders to support effective marketing communications programmes and campaigns
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and resources in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Proven experience of managing multiple agencies, copywriters and working with in-house creative teams
  • Hands-on experience of using WordPress for updating and adding web content. Experience using a social media platform for posting and other marketing technologies to execute, manage and track marketing communications campaigns and content.
  • Knowledge and experience of e-commerce would be advantageous
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility in a high growth/high performance organisation undergoing rapid expansion in EMEA
