A Client Strategy Associate (CSA) organizes the day-to-day tasks for the Managed Services Marketplaces client portfolio that consists of many top internet brands and retailers. Associates will support Marketplace Client Strategy Managers (CSMs) by acting as an internal project manager and developing technical, tactical, and client-facing skills throughout their initial 12 months. This includes organizing tasks to be worked internally, maintaining client meeting notes, and providing insights to how tactical efforts are driving results toward achieving marketplace goals.


A successful Associate will have a strong desire to overdeliver, work efficiently, and learn new skills while learning the ecommerce business. While technical and analytical knowledge is appreciated, no traits are more valued in an Associate than the ability to learn quickly and have an organized approach to maintaining work.


  • Manages technical and tactical workload in the ChannelAdvisor platform with areas focusing on business rule writing, data analysis, and technical execution. 
  • Partners with Client Strategy Managers with day to day operational and administrative tasks on behalf of our clients, including development of internal and external meeting agendas and recaps.
  • Supports Client Strategy Managers in proactive review of performance reporting as well as ad-hoc tasks.
  • Maintains a project plan for each assigned account and sets up internal and client meetings as needed.
  • Participates in role and team training; proactively shares feedback/ideas for the betterment of the CSA role. 
  • Communicates with Client Strategy Manager, Team Lead, and Manager to manage bandwidth and workload, ensuring tasks and assignment deadlines are met.
  • Actively learns about marketplace strategies and participates in account strategy sessions in order to help meet team and company revenue goals.

Experience/Skills needed to be successful

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, marketing, or technology related study
  • Great organizational skills and ability to manage multiple processes/projects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and solutions-oriented abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability and desire to collaborate and be a part of a team
  • Strong communication skills across multiple corporate functions
  • Good business acumen and interest in understanding client’s business goals
  • Intermedia knowledge of Excel required with formula writing experience
  • Basic understanding of eCommerce
